I have been afforded an opportunity to immerse myself in various learning environments, in business: meetings, seminars, Web casts

and in education: high schools, colleges, and universities.

Exposure in college and university courses includes basic math, reading, English, and chemistry; calculus classes, pharmacy technician training; doctoral classes include computer programming, genetics, teacher training, and statistics.

As such, I learn universal techniques that students in any focus utilize to succeed: learning new concepts through vocabulary and practical examples, practicing methods of applications, and expanding understanding through creative projects.

The work which has afforded me these opportunities is in the capacity of communication facilitator

as a (Communication Access Real-time Translation) C.A.R.T. provider, which is a specific application of stenography. Similar to interpreters or translators, I present the spoken language in a form accessible to consumers; however, I only translate spoken English into written English.
