I have felt a "higher calling" in the realm of education and, primarily, working with children, for as long as I can remember. The daughter of a former teacher, a firm educational foundation was established for me early in life. I have always had the drive to succeed; to push myself beyond my own expectations; and to help others realize their own unique abilities in the pursuit of personal achievement. Moreover, I have been an academic coach for the last seven years. It has been the most immediately gratifying and fulfilling work I have ever endeavored. It is difficult to label it as "work," for I feel so blessed and completely enjoy every moment I have the opportunity to be an agent of learning for a child. Each student is different, and I gauge my approach carefully on an individual needs basis; I am inherently patient, dedicated, compassionate and kind. I will always go the extra mile in whatever ways possible to make a difference. Seeing that "aha!" moment of clarity spread across a student's face is truly priceless.
