The most important attributes of any teacher are empathy and patience.

I currently attend Harvard University and work as a professional tutor. I've lived all over - Eastern and Western Europe, Scotland, various parts of the United States.

My scores on the SAT, and ACT were perfect (2400 and 36 respectively), though I too had to work hard to get there, so I know what it's like when you're just starting out.

I've worked with kids who suffer from ADD and ADHD, dyslexia, depression and speech disorders. I personally grew up inured by social anxiety, so I can always empathize.

Nowadays a lot of tutors will tell you that they know all the tricks and shortcuts. But really, there are no tricks. No shortcuts. Just hard work and sleepless nights, chocolate and coffee, and talking to yourself while brushing your teeth in the morning trying to remember the quadratics formula.

I like taking exams, and I enjoy helping others do the same.

I used to work for Kaplan, one of the big tutoring companies, but I knew I'd be able to help more students on my own. Kaplan's services were simply too expensive for most families.

I have many years of experience and a vast collection of study materials that I can share with you for free. I've taught students in everything from Debate and Creative Writing, to Calculus, Physics, and the MCATs. I even tutor the ASVAB, LSAT, GRE, and most of the SAT II exams as well, in case you are headed for a school that requires those.

What I expect from my students: studying is serious business. We'll write essays. We'll analyze passages. We will laugh in the face of all that is boring about standardized tests.

I will do everything in my power to get you or your child the best test scores possible.
