(PreK-6) Math Tutor in Corona, NY 11368

.....Hi, my name is Manonmani Inbavazhvu. I am currently attending Hofstra University, for Masters in Elementary Ed., and employed by Champion Learning Center. I tutored with Champion this past summer. I like to take an approach where there is a balance of control between the teacher and student. An approach where the student learns out of curiosity and enjoyment and at the same time, is externally motivated by grades and praise. Furthermore, I enjoy using real life examples and situations to get my point across to students especially when it comes to the subject of Math. I can recall when I was tutoring this one particular student with Champion Learning Center; initially, he received 44% on the first diagnostic test, but after I was done tutoring with him, the diagnostic test showed improvement to 96%! To conclude, I believe in every person I tutor in his or her ability, am patient, reliable, friendly, cheerful, loving, caring, persistent, hardworking, clear with my instruction and compassionate. In addition to this, I know when to be stern and tough with students, especially of Elementary School age!
